Starting September 16th, The Distillery District will be the host of a 10 day fan festival, filled with family friendly activities. Celebrations will take place at two adjacent sites, one called the ¨Distillery Fan Village¨, name given to The Distillery during these celebrations and the other, called the ¨East Fan Village¨, a site composed of about 200,000 square feet that will stretch to the East of Cherry St. Scheduled programming will not only include hockey oriented activities, but will also feature the food, music and culture of participating hockey nations. Overall activities are designed for an audience of all ages and will include live performances, live broadcast of the games, kid´s zone with hockey activities and entertainment, virtual and augmented reality experiences, and the debut of an event first: Bubble hockey! Most activities will be open to the general public and will be free of charge, although select events will be ticketed throughout the event.
